PARIS: Unseeded Czech duo Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka won the women's doubles final at the French Open on Friday after dominating India's Sania Mirza and Russia's Elena Vesnina 6-4 6-3.
While all the focus was on Court Philippe Chatrier where champion Rafa Nadal was beating Andy Murray in the men's semi-final, the Czechs were in clinical form on Court Suzanne Lenglen.
Sania Mirza and Vesnina were seventh seeds but never stood a chance.
The Russian also lost the Wimbledon women's doubles final last year when she partnered Vera Zvonareva.
