KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) has suspended notification that grants special exemption to the Sindh Bank from the Sindh Public Procurement Act and issued notices to Chief Secretary Sindh and the bank for June 28, Geo News reported.
The two-member bench comprises Justice Sajjad Ali Shah and Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi was hearing the constitutional petition filed by Transparency International (TI).
TI has challenged the notification issued on the directives of Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah. The notification grants special exemption to the Sindh Bank from the Sindh Public Procurement Act.
